At Parenting with Intent we serve individuals, families and youth who are in need of mental health services, mentorship, parenting education, counseling and support services. Our clients are faced with many challenges such as poverty, homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, as well as both cognitive and behavioral health challenges.
PWI currently contracts with DHS Child Welfare in collaboration with the Multnomah Education Service District (MESD). Our commitment is to continue to serve these most vulnerable populations. It is our hope that we can expand our array of services to include more comprehensive behavioral health and wrap-around services to our youth and families.
Understanding the unique dynamic of individuals or families as a whole is essential when attempting movement towards growth and change. Sometimes the myriad challenges facing family members can make this seem like an unattainable goal.
Parenting with Intent Center for Family Support offers services designed to support, guide and educate. Our highly trained staff advocates for the rights and needs of our clientele and provides a connection to available community services.
By engaging in active outreach, therapy and coordination of services, we reduce the impact of behavioral health challenges on individuals, families and the community. Whether our clients are interested in individual and/or family therapy, parenting groups or in-home behavioral support, all will enjoy a positive, professional relationship with their Parenting with Intent provider.
“The partnership between DHS and PWI has been essential in sustainably stabilizing the families we serve. By supporting, educating, and connecting parents and youth with ongoing community services, PWI gives them the necessary support and tools to move forward in healthy and safe ways.
